GENERAL

  • What is IoT?

The Internet of Things refers to the network of things (physical devices) that can be connected to the Internet to collect and share data without human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.

  • What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a SIM card that is added in a IoT device and you can connect  to any operator offering eSIM services.

It works the same way as a traditional SIM card, but it's not necessary to have a physical SIM card to use it. It is actually pre-installed in the device and you can activate it by installing an “SIM profile” on it.

  • What is an IoT solution?

An IoT solution is a combination of devices or other data sources, completed with internet connected hardware to send securely report information to an IoT platform. This information is often a physical metric which can help users solve a specific problem, for example tracking services, health solutions, etc.

  • Which business sectors can your IoT Cards be used in?

You can use our IoT.Cards eSIM in any business sector that makes use of the Internet of Things. Currently, the main sectors are health, security, tracking services (geolocation) and telemetry (remote meter reading).

  • What are the benefits of multi-operator IoT Cards?

The main advantage of multi-operator IoT.Cards is their ability to connect to the best network available in their location. If the main network breaks down or fails, the SIM will connect to the next best available network ensuring continuity of service.

  • What are public and private addresses?

A public IP address is one that can be accessed over the internet. The connected device can therefore be reached remotely, whether the user likes it or not. A private IP address only allows outbound connections from your device. It's the type of IP address used on your local network at home (router) or your company network. Its significant advantage is that it makes it impossible to gain access to your equipment.

  • When will my usage be billed?
